The Chandra Group’s rich heritage dates back almost a century to the late Shri Seth Shivcharanlalji who first started the company in 1918. A serial entrepreneur, his first venture was the Bombay Chandra Bhavan (Hotel & Restaurant) in 1932 and the Chandra Bhavan Hotel & Restaurant in 1958. Driven by its success his son the Late Shri S. Purshotamdas founded another successful business in the Hotel Chandra Vihar in 1969. The generations of successful businessmen were able to impart valuable personal and professional skills to the two younger sons, Shri Chandra Prakash and Shri Anil Kumar who in turn branched out and diversified the business into various other fields including Cement Distribution, Building Furniture Hardware and Lighting Fixtures. With a passion for excellence the current generation has taken the business to greater heights with the expansion into Chandra Luminaries & interior’s and various other ventures.
